Overview

This West Coast Medical Group in Florida seeks 4 Hospitalists that are Board Certified in Internal Medicine with sufficient inpatient experience. Internal Medicine preferred but they will consider Family Practice. Schedule will be 7 on 7 off; 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. and with a call schedule of 2-3 nights per month. You will also manage a Physician Assistant. You will only see patients, you will not see unassigned patients from the ER. There are 10+ hospitalists now.

You will be offered a base salary plus bonus (a percentage of receipts). You will also be eligible to participate in their 401(k)plan – the practice will contribute 3% of your salary.

In regards to malpractice, a Claims Made Policy is provided by the practice with the physician being responsible for their own tail should they leave the group.

You will have 3 weeks of vacation and 1 week for CME with $2,500 given for CME.

The per capita retail sales are almost 20% above the national average. It has a strong base of retirement age people, about a third of the population, but the fastest-growing segment of the market is middle-aged adults and their children. It has approximately 1/4 the population of the Tampa/St. Petersburg area.
