Overview

This Florida hospital, in the Jacksonville area, seeks a Psychiatric Medical Director for an employed opportunity.  You will work with 4 staff psychiatrists and 2 psychiatric nurse practitioners. The schedule will be Monday – Friday, 1:4 telephone call during the week and no weekend call.

You will have both clinical and administrative responsibilities.

There is an acute inpatient adult stabilization unit, in the hospital, with staff that is dedicated to high quality, compassionate psychiatric services. In addition, they have their intensive outpatient services here too. This program consists of group therapy and educational sessions and offers treatment for Mood Disorders, Depression and Behavior Health Issues. The Hospital has also expanded its behavior health services and now includes specialized care for older adults. There is also an inpatient geriatric behavior health unit and is staffed with physicians who are specially trained in geriatric medicine. This is a nearly 15 bed unit.
